The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.

Ok...so what does that mean and how can it help you? Great question!

Coaching is essentially a 1 on 1 relationship that focuses on four key items:

  • Client Driven Agenda: Where are you feeling stuck, unhappy or where do you want to get better (communication, stress, delegation, career growth, happiness, work life balance, etc.)?

  • Collaboration Process: We will work together to examine these areas and determine possible solution.

  • Client Driven Vision: We will dig into what your true vision is for yourself - at home, work, and in life.

  • Client Actions: We will co-create actions that will help you in achieving your vision.

You are still reading which means you are interested, but does coaching REALLY work? Let's dig into some scientific studies to see:

  • Participants in a 2014 study by Gyllensten & Palmer shared that their confidence increased as a result of coaching and that in turn led to  better job performance (i.e. tackling challenges more assertively, solving problems creatively, applying knowledge with greater assurance) and specific advantages outside of work (i.e. not bringing work home, happier relationships at home, etc.).

  • In a 2006 study published by Garvey HR professionals from multiple organizations observed that leaders who participated in a coaching relationship had improved relationships across all levels - with managers, directors, and subordinates.

  • In Leedham’s 2005 study it was identified that multiple coaching clients reported more effective personal relationships as a positive outcome of engaging in a coaching relationship.

Ok, so coaching is great and there are a ton of benefits, but why work with me?

My life purpose is to help others live more fulfilling and resonant lives.

I became "lost" at my corporate job and was left feeling unfulfilled and burnt out. It was only after I left the corporate world and had time to take a look at myself and my life that I realized what I truly wanted. The coach training I received from the Coach Training Institute (CTI) helped me unlock my true purpose and has allowed me to become a better husband, father, son, friend, leader, and person. I now want to help others unlock their full potential and maximize their lives.

Plus I am pretty FUN!
